Unexpected Visitor Pt2 Several people asked me for the second half of this story. Originally, my intention was to let the reader imagine what the revenge could possibly be. Nothing I could write would be as creative or vivid, so I did not want to spoil the reader's personal conclusion. In short, there was no second half. But my wife and several others demanded to know what was planned... 8{ ) So, without further ado, here is the second part of Unexpected Visitor. I hope you guys like it, and thanks for the ego-boosts. They felt good. Yours in fur, Allen ******** Unexpected Visitor pt 2 by Allen Kitchen all rights and wrongs reserved The afternoon daylight streamed into the doctor's office through the bay windows in the front lobby, and glowed in the tiny dust particles in the air as Randy studied his work. Muscles the bear had discarded his leather trench coat, and was now wearing a white doctor's smock and stethoscope. The black bear looked very professional in the outfit. "Well, Muscles." Randy commented, swishing his large fox tail excitedly. "You actually look less like an assassin and more like a doctor now. I think this is going to work perfectly. What do you think?" "I still don't know how you managed to get the use of this doctor's office for the day." Muscles rumbled in his baritone bear toned voice, looking around the lobby. "All the staff is still here too. How'd you swing all this Randy?" Randy straightened the pens in the Assassin's pocket. "The chief doctor owed me a favor. I convinced him to let us run a short scam here today. The appointments for this afternoon are all rescheduled. And all the doctors and nurses are here for effect, so nothing should give us away to Peggy." "I still don't think I can portray a doctor though." the black bear worried. "Come on Muscles. Your job is simple. All you have to do is take a blood sample from Peggy's arm, and give it to the nurse. Then, when the nurse gives you the lab results back, you tell Peggy that she has an illness." "What kind of illness?" Randy shrugged. "I don't know. It doesn't really matter. Any illness. You can make something up if you like... Hyperhormonitis." The fox then reached into a pocket, and pulled out a small bottle of white tablets. "You then give her some of these sugar pills, and tell her that she needs to get out of the city for a couple of days to take the stress off her body so the medicine can work. I will then take her out camping in the woods with me for a week. Simplicity itself." The large black bear raised an eyebrow toward Randy. "And what are you and Peggy going to do for that solid week out in the woods?" Randy smiled slyly. "What do think we are going to be doing?" "I have some handcuffs you can borrow..." Randy laughed. "I already have my own fur-lined set, but thanks. Anyway, once we return from our camping trip, you and I can tell her that she has been had." "Repeatedly, and in several positions, if I know you." "Of course, Muscles. Hey! She hired a killer, namely you, to execute me last night. Don't you think I am entitled to a little payback? She has this coming. If she didn't want to play rough, then she shouldn't have hired an assassin to knock me off." "Well, she did change her mind, you know. Otherwise you would not be standing there, yapping at me." the bear grumbled at the relatively diminuitive fox. "I don't care, Muscles. It is the thought that counts. And I am going to get her back, in the end." Muscles walked over to the reception desk and picked up a blank patient chart. "I'm not even going to comment on that line." he chuckled. "Too easy." Randy sighed. "Muscles, you really need to go out and find a date tonight. Your mind is stuck on one thing, and one thing only." "And yours isn't?" the bear replied, half laughing. "By the way fox, I have been wondering... Just why is Peggy going to come down here to take a blood test in the first place?" Randy sat down in one of the comfortable lobby chairs, right next to the plastic fern. "Because I called her this morning. I told her that you, my 'doctor', found a virus in my bloodstream, and that it was contagious. I suggested that she come here and get a test herself, and then we could both get the cure at the same time." The bear nodded. "Very clever." "I thought so. Anyway, she will be here in a few minutes, so let's finish up your disguise." Randy pulled a pair of glasses out from his shirt pocket. "I don't think those are really necessary." the bear rumbled. "All us bears look alike to most other species." Randy snickered a bit. "Maybe. Maybe not. But then, I am sure you think all us foxes look alike too." "Well, you do." "We do not!" Randy protested. "And I am not taking any chances Muscles. If she recognizes you from that night she hired you, then this entire gag is ruined. And so is my planned party in the woods. So put the glasses on, and get ready." Muscles rumbled unhappily as he took the frames from the fox, opened them, and set them on his muzzle. He gazed through the new lenses, and blinked in astonishment. "Amazing. You know, I can actually see better with these things on?" Muscles said, surprised. "Keep them then." Randy replied, happily noting that the bear looked completely different now. "My treat. But you probably should get your eyes checked and get a proper pair sometime soon." Chuckles grinned again. "And speaking of a proper pair, I see Peggy coming up the walkway now." Randy turned in his seat to look outside the window. Muscles was correct. Peggy had arrived. ******** Peggy sat upright on the examination table, rubbing the soft inside of her arm. The bear had left the small white room about 5 minutes ago, and Peggy was still sore from the blood sample procedure. "Well, I am not impressed with your doctor Randy." Peggy complained. "I'm not impressed at all. The way he stuck my arm with that syringe... it was like he thought he was holding a knife or something." Randy resisted the urge to laugh at her. If she only knew... "Well Peggy, I realized after I got the news from him that I had put you in danger. I didn't mean to of course. I didn't know I had the virus until this morning. Sorry that I had to drag you over here like this." Peggy nodded. "And what will we do if the tests on me turn out positive?" She sounded very worried, and she fidgeted with a tongue depresser. Good, Randy thought. Serves her right, after what she did to me. "Well, the illness is curable." he lied to her. "But the doc told me that I would have to leave the city for a week to reduce the stress on my body and to prevent my infecting anybody else." "Too late." Peggy grumbled. "Yeah Peggy. I know." He took her right hand into his, and gently carressed it. "I already have my camping gear put together in the back of my van. If you test positive too, then you can come along with me. I would enjoy some company out in the woods anyway. And I can't think of anyone else I would rather have with me than you." Hope I am not laying it on too thick, Randy thought to himself. He didn't want to make her suspicious. Peggy narrowed her gaze at him. "I thought you broke up with me Randy. Why the sudden interest in getting back together, hmmm?" Randy shrugged his shoulders and looked at her face. "I made a mistake honey. And I'm sorry. I didn't think before I acted." "You told me I was the most niave, bubbleheaded vixen on Gateway." "You destroyed part of my CD collection." "No I didn't. Your player was defective." "They don't play on the turntable Peggy!" She crossed her arms in front of her in a dejected posture. "Well, how was I to know? I don't know anything about Terran technology. And I said I was sorry, didn't I?" Randy took a short breath and sighed heavily. He would have to calm down quickly, if he was going to get her to go anywhere or do anything with him. "Yes. Yes you did, dear. You are right, of course. I lost my temper, and I am sorry. But I didn't mean it. Have you ever said something, only to find out that you didn't really mean it later on?" Peggy squirmed slightly on the examination table she was sitting on. "Uh... no Randy. Not that I can recall." she haltingly replied. You lying witch! Randy thought to himself. You went out and hired an assassin to kill me one inch at a time because you were pissed off. Then you changed your mind. You wanted me dead, but you cooled down while you spoke to Muscles, and decided not to have me killed after all. Before Randy could say anything to her, Muscles opened the door to the little room, and came inside. He was still in his doctor disguise, and he was carrying the lab reports of Peggy's blood in his hands. He closed the door behind him, watching the vixen all the while. "Well, miss Peggy. I have some bad news, and I have some good news for you as well." Wonderful! Randy laughed heartily on the inside. Muscles was going to give her the bad news about being ill, and then the good news about how simple the cure was. He was using a classic delivery line. Nice touch. Randy kept his face nuetral with all the willpower he could muster. He worked very hard not to laugh out loud. He did not want to ruin the con job. This was going to be so much fun! "Let me guess doc." she quietly asked. "I have the same virus Randy has, right?" Muscles nodded. "That is the bad news, yes." Peggy sighed deeply as she wrung her hands together. She was very frightened. Oh, this was going perfectly, Randy mused. "Okay then. So, what is the good news?" she asked the bear. Randy held his breath. Here it comes... Muscles set the lab report down on a table, leaned forward, and looked Peggy straight in the eyes. It was easy to do while the vixen was sitting on the exam table. He paused a second or two for dramatic flair, then softly answered the vixen. "Your pregnant." Randy let out all his breath in a sudden gush of air. That was not in the plan at all! What was the bear doing, telling her that she was pregnant? He told the bear to make up an illness. An illness! Pregnancy was not an illness. Peggy's face went completely white as the blood drained from her face. "I... I'm what?" she stammered. "Pregnant." the bear grinned. "About 2 or 3 weeks along now, I would say." "But I feel fine! I don't feel pregnant at all! Are you sure there hasn't been a mistake somewhere?" "If there has, it was your mistake. Not mine." The bear laughed at her. "And besides, it is not uncommon for foxes not to notice anything at all until the second month. So I am not surprised that you don't feel pregnant right now." Randy watched Peggy carefully. She was in complete shock from Muscle's news. She probably felt just like he did when Muscles prepared to 'kill' him late last night. Suddenly it struck Randy just what the bear was up to. Muscles was scaring the shit right out of her, just like he was supposed to. But he had found better way of doing his job, and he made use of it. He even had an explanation ready for why Peggy did not feel bad. Clever, Randy thought to himself. Very clever indeed. And there was a side benefit to the story as well. Since Peggy now believed herself to be pregnant, she would not protest his advances in the days ahead. He could satisfy his wildest fantasies with her, and she would go along with it. Muscles, after I get back from this sexual adventure, I am going to pay you some kind of a bonus for thinking on your feet. Peggy slowly began to get over her shock at the unexpected news. Her hands were still trembling, Randy noticed. Her voice also quivered as she asked the bear. "Tell me doctor. Is this virus in my blood going to hurt my babies?" Muscles glanced over to Randy. "Uh, no." he murmered. "The particular virus you have won't harm your children at all. But you both need to take these pills." he said, withdrawing the bottle of sugar pills from his coat pocket. "And you both need to leave the city for a week or so as well." he continued. "What you two have is contagious, and you need to be free from stress for a bit. Otherwise the drugs won't work." "First you tell me that I am pregnant, and then you tell me not to be stressed out?" she exclaimed nervously. The bear grinned widely. "Well, you both need to do something fun while you are out there in the woods. Go out and get some exercise, or whatever. Do whatever you must to take your minds off of things." Randy nodded to them, following the bears line of thought. "Oh, don't worry doctor. I will find some way of... distracting her for a week. Right Peggy?" Peggy nodded back, still a little dazed. "Um, Randy?" she spoke softly to him. "I am going to go ahead and step outside for a moment and get some air. I suddenly feel like I am suffocating in here. Can I meet you out by your van?" "Sure darling. I will see you there in a moment or two. Give me a few minutes to straighten out a few details with the doctor here." Peggy hopped off the examination table, and paused for a second to give Randy a half-hearted nuzzle. She then went out the door into the hallway, and kept walking toward the lobby. Randy stepped past Muscles, and quietly closed the door. He then turned to face the black bear, smiling like he had never smiled before. "Oh Muscles, you are such a genius. She thinks she is pregnant! Now she is putty in my hands!" He then began to laugh hard and loud. In the small room, his fox laugh sounded much larger than it really was. He guffawed for a moment or two, as the bear grinned along with him. Finally, Randy calmed back down again. He wiped a tear from his eye. "Oh wow. This is the best laugh I have ever had. Did you see her face? She almost had a heart attack! That bit about her being pregnant was sheer brilliance." Muscles began removing his doctor's coat, still grinning. "Thank you very much. It was pretty funny, wasn't it? And the best laugh hasn't even begun yet." "Oh, yeah." Randy lustfully agreed. "The best laugh. My hedonistic week all alone with her in the forest. Seven days of amoral turpitude. I did mention that I plan to 'accidently' have our clothes wash away downstream, didn't I? She and I are going to be naked in the woods for the entire week. Oh, that poor vixen is going to pay dearly for calling you, Muscles. Payback is such a bitch, isn't it?" "This time, it appears to be a vixen." the bear remarked as he tossed the coat across the examination table. "You know something, I almost envy you Randy. You are going to have a week long party that will set fire to your dreams for decades to come. She will deny you nothing. She will submit to your every carnal desire. After all, she thinks nothing more can possibly happen to her." "But even so, I am still glad that I am not in your shoes Randy." "Not one for dallying with the vixens, eh? You don't like dating outside your species, Muscles?" "That is not it at all." the bear said. He was staring at an eyechart on the wall, still amazed at the improvement in his vision the glasses gave. "In fact, I enjoy bedding a certain vixen, now and then. No, what I meant was you are going to be out there all alone with her. And she is going to be calling you 'husband' and 'daddy' and what not for the entire week." Randy thought about that for a moment. "Hmm. Yes, you are probably right. Still, considering what I am going to get out of this, I can put up with that. But I really need to get going now Muscles. Paradise awaits. And I need to stop by the pharmacy first to pick up some extra protection for the week." Randy patted Muscles on the back in a display of comradrie. Laughing, he added "After all, I don't want to get her pregnant for real, now do I?" "Well, I don't think you need to worry about getting her pregnant." the bear said in an amused voice. "Really?" Randy asked. "Why not?" Muscles turned his head to face the fox, and lifted his hand up to his glasses. He pulled them down a bit and peeked over the rim at Randy. "Because it is too late to worry about that. Far too late." "Oh, come on Muscles. Stop kidding around." Randy chuckled. "Peggy isn't in here anymore." "Exactly." the bear replied, still amused. "She is not here. So why would I be kidding?" The bear then picked up the blood report, and handed the papers to Randy. The fox stood there unmoving, looking at the proffered papers in a puzzeled manner. "You can't be serious..." the fox mumbled. "Oh. I am very serious Randy. Go on ahead. Read the report for yourself... daddy." The bear chuckled softly to himself as his last words struck home with the fox. Randy's grin faded. He slowly took the documents from the black bear, and studied the list of things tested for in the lab report. And there, on the top sheet, there was the word PREGNANCY, and beside it in pencil was the word POSITIVE. Randy felt his breathing stop. Oh No! Muscles was slowly laughing at him now, chortling deeply. "If you could only see your own face, Randy. Looks like the joke is on you now, doesn't it? That was what I meant by my comment about the best laugh coming later. The best laugh is my laughing at you while you watch your great master plan blow up in your face!" Muscles opened a cabinet door and took out his leather coat again. Randy did not watch him at all. His eyes were glued to the word POSITIVE on the sheet in front of him. "But... how?" Randy stammered out. He began to shake, so he sat down on the examination table rather than fall to the floor. "Oh, come on now." Muscles teased him. "You know how. Otherwise, you would not be in this predicament." The bear chuckled some more as he put his leather coat back on, and straightened up the dagger emblem on his lapel. "But it isn't fair!" Randy yelled, throwing the papers to the floor. "Life was just starting to get interesting for me! This just isn't fair!" The bear shot Randy a cold, cold stare. "It isn't fair? Well cry me a river, son. Who said anything in life was fair? Nobody. And if you ask me, this is very fair indeed. The fates have done an excellent job, for a change. You and that vixen deserve each other." "What do you mean?" "I mean you are both selfish, tempermental brats who need to grow up." the bear fumed. "She got angry and thought she wanted to kill you. So she called me. You then decided to get even by trying to trick her into a week of nonstop sex with you. All either of you can think about is yourselves, and getting payback. Neither of you think at all about anyone elses feelings, or the consequences of your actions." The bear crossed his arms and continued to stare at the shocked fox sitting on the table. His voice was stern and gruff. "Well, now you are both stuck with each other Randy. And not only that, your kits will be totally dependent on both of you for years to come as well. Life, as you both knew it, is now over. You two are going to have to learn to at least tolerate each other for the next couple of decades. I hope the sex was worth it." Muscles then stuck out a finger and poked Randy in the chest with it. He angrily added, "And I suggest both of you lose my phone number, so you can't call me the next time you two have a fight. I am fed up with getting involved in your petty little squabbles. The next time either of you feel like killing the other, try kicking the dog instead." "But I don't have a dog." Randy pittifully replied. "Then get one!" the bear roared back. "The point is, if either of you ever call me again, I will simply kill both of you, just for the hell of it! I am a member of the Enforcer Guild, not a counselor. You two need to get your shit together, and fast. But leave me out of it, the both of you!" Randy just sat there, hanging his head in shame. The bear turned around, opened the door again, and looked back over his shoulder at the depressed Vulpine. "Oh, and one more thing Randy." "Yes?" the fox sadly replied without looking up. "You might want to teach that vixen how to use the CD player before she moves in with you. Those Terran discs are very expensive to ship all the way out here." Randy sighed, and nodded slowly. The assassin turned and went out the door, leaving the shocked and worried fox all alone in the examination room. He angrily walked through the lobby, out of the building, and down the front steps to the sidewalk. The air was warm, and the sun was still shining. Muscles decided to leave his coat open for the moment. He took in a deep breath of the spring air as he walked toward the street. He decided it was such a nice day, he wanted to walk down the street for awhile before hailing a cab to pick him up. The scent of fox was thick in his nostrils, and he needed some fresh air to clear his nose. As he walked down the sidewalk, he noticed Peggy leaning on Randy's van, gently crying into her hands. He could just hear her soft sobs above the slow wind. Her eyes were hidden in her paws, and she did not see him come out. He wondered if Randy would come out soon to check up on her. Would he come and console her? Maybe, maybe not. There was no telling. Hopefully they would come together and find each other because of this, Muscles thought to himself. They were still in shock at the moment. This week alone in the forest might be good for the both of them. He looked away and walked down to the edge of the street. He then turned to walk north along the street's edge, and pulled out his day planner. After a couple of seconds, he found the pages holding Peggy's and Randy's phone numbers. Muscles tore them from his book, and let the pages drift in the breeze.
